Illustrations, sketches, and execution for the Trocadero Commodore mural project. Inspired by nature and sea life, this mural reflects the convergence between both worlds, transporting the viewer to a dreamlike space where it is unclear whether they are on the earth’s surface or submerged in the sea’s depths. The delicacy of flowers and the subtle movements of marine fauna create a sense of balance, purity, and tranquility.
The mural is located inside one of the buildings designed by the renowned architect Luis Gutierrez Soto, which for years housed the iconic Mayte Commodore restaurant. This venue was a hub of political and social intrigue in 1980s Madrid, a meeting place for national and international stars, and a restaurant that marked an era in Spanish history.
